This part of Cyclades Islands is known as the worst in wind. A day without strong wind is very rare. So, after waiting for a day which is with less than 8 Buford wind, we started to sail to Mykonos. It was very our most wet day with strong upwind, big waves mostly to the cockpit.  Our sailing speed was around 8 with 1/3 Genoa and a little main sail for balance. We reached the famous island Mykonos all wet and tired very much. The harbor was almost full as it is expected, but since we were just in time we found a space line a shore. First time we kicked the hull to the concrete. The first reason was the quite high wind, 2nd we could not see anyone on shore to take our lines therefore Ana jumped to land from the point of Hummingbird without any fender, so the boat had to come very close to land at that point.
Next day we walked to the center. In our opinion, many other islands are better than Mykonos. Santorini is the best in view, life etc.. Hard to understand why Mykonos is so famous. Very well presentation must be the reason. It is the 2nd island after Santorini which is full
with so many tourists. Maybe they go there to see one of the world wide famous artists, but I believe they are usually disappointed, because we did not see any one of them. Restaurants are full of people all eating and drinking. No one from any restaurant (they call tavern) is inviting you inside as in the holiday places of Turkey which  is really a disturbing action.
